Lately, I was so amused with the digital artwork of fellow photographer and blogger Joel Garcia (http://februarystar.multiply.com/). The images on his aforementioned site indicates his awesome works, the trend of which is onto this so called textured images. After he shared his workflow, I tried one on my daughter's image. My work is of course a far cry from that of Joel's.
A simple tip is that you should start with a good photo/image, before you blend in the textured background which you may take yourself or download on the net. While working on my first textured image, I love the fact that your brain is working doubly hard to try imagine what background is best for what you want the image to look like. The creativity in you in this artwork is squeezed out from your brain.
Whew...I just do not know how I come up with this one after several tries from different backgrounds downloaded on the net, and almost one hour tweaking the image until I was a little satisfied with the output. I just conditioned my self to get satisfied as I am already running out of time. I now have to fetch my commander, my wife from her work. I do not want to be late otherwise I will be grounded from photography.
