One Indelible Memory

It was such a blast of an experience I had yesterday. I am so proud of the Word International Ministries in the United Arab Emirates (WIN-UAE), the next generation of our church. They staged a praise and worship concert at the Dubai Evangelical Church Center (DECC) in Jebel Ali, Dubai as a fund raiser for them to defray expenses of the UAE representative to the Youth Congress and Youth Camp in UK in July and August 2008.

The concert showcased the talents of the youth coming from the different WIN churches around the UAE. One of the youth bands performing at the concert is our very own WIN-Al Ain. I am so proud to say that my edest daughter is one of the members of the band. She is the lead vocals or song leader for the group.

I had some mixed feelings inside me watching the different youth bands performed their numbers. I had never expected that they were that good worshipers. They poured out all their hearts for the Lord. I could not even contain myself having teary eyes watching them sing, dance, and raised all their voices and hands unto the Lord. I praise Jesus for them. I could never thank enough our father in heaven for providing us (parents) this worshiping youths.

Because of my mixed feelings, I had left out my initial intentions of capturing precioius moments of the concert with my lens. I captured some few photos, but not as I had first intended. Instead of being just a photographer, I become more of indulging myself to the worship concert. I sang and danced a lot than taking good pictures.

The reason for all these feelings is that I am so deeply moved by the power and presence of the Holy Spirit at the Maranatha hall of the DECC. I am one with the youth as they get high with God shouting, dancing, praising, and raising hands. The holy spirit just proded me to also move around, sing and dance with the crowd. I just could not contain the joy I felt inside. It was such a wonderful experience.

All the precious moments of the event have been captured in my heart and mind. It is already imprinted in there that no other form of print or digital copy, be it color, black and white, sepia, duo tone, or whatever types of post-processing done on it. Every moment imprinted in my heart and mind could last my lifetime.
