Last night, April 14, 2008 I have attended not just an ordinary mid-week service that our church, WIN-Al Ain had. The corporate intercessory prayer at the end of the service is not just an ordinary prayer exercise. We were led to cry out and pray for the Gospel of peace to be spread in Al Ain and the rest of the world.
In no time, when I reached home after the service, I logged on to the website www.cryoutnow.org shared by Pastor Ed. Without second thoughts I gave my email to subscribe.
While on bed, I told my wife about what we had experienced at the mid-week service. Both of us agree that what had happen was a confirmation of our commitment to practice a prayerful life as a couple. It is like God showing us that Christians have neglected prayer as a habit. Most Christians as observed are concentrating more on the ministry and neglect prayer and intercession.
We commit that we, as a couple start our day right by praying together. We both agree to rise up from bed every 5 o'clock in the morning for our prayer time together. We have started this on April 13, 2008 (yesterday). We followed it up today and committed make this as a habit.
What has been happening around the world right now is something serious. Escalating cost of food around the world. Lack of supply of basic staple rice in Philippines, Egypt, and Bangladesh. Even India and Pakistan are regulating, if not banning exports of Rice.
Is this one of the evident signs of the end times? No one knows. But, all I know from my Bible is that God is just right their always waiting for the cries of the faithful. I then urge everyone who may chance to read this blog to take a serious step in making a good prayer habit in your life. Let us all get to our feet and intercede for one another.
It is not too late. Act now...
Cry out to God of Mercy and Love. He is always wanting us to cry out to Him.
